Materials

We are constantly looking for new, more responsible materials, and most of the materials we use can be classified as responsible choices. We choose our materials carefully, without compromising on functionality or quality. It is important to us that the products we make have as long a life as possible!

ORGANIC COTTON

Wouldn't it be nice if the cotton products you wear contained no pesticide residues? If you answered yes, organic cotton is the choice for you. Most of our products are made from organic cotton. Growing this natural fibre requires less water than conventional cotton, and no chemicals are used in its cultivation. As a result, organic cotton pollutes the air and soil less. The organic cotton yarn we use is GOTS certified and dyed in accordance with the OEKO-TEX® 100 standard. We add 5% elastane to our organic cotton jersey for comfort and softness. Products made from 100% cotton do not stretch, so it's good to take this into account when choosing your size. In that case, compare the measurements in the size chart to a non-stretch garment.

RECYCLED COTTON

In the knitwear of our summer 2020 collection, we used a blend of 25% recycled cotton fibre and 75% organic cotton. The recycled cotton fibre is made from textile industry surplus material. By using recycled cotton, we aim to reduce the use of virgin cotton and thereby its environmental impact. The recycled cotton is blended with organic cotton to add durability and a more pleasant feel. Try it and fall in love with this new fibre blend!

LINEN

Linen is a breathable, absorbent material that dries quickly. It is strong, antibacterial, anti-static and naturally repels dirt. Linen is ideal for year-round wear, as it feels cool in warm weather and keeps you warm when it's cold. Linen is at its best once it has softened slightly with wear. Linen wrinkles easily, but that's part of it! Wrinkles are part of linen's character and make it unique. Products made from 100% linen do not stretch, so it's good to take this into account when choosing your size. In that case, compare the measurements in the size chart to a non-stretch garment.

LYOCELL

Lyocell is a cellulose-based fibre made from wood pulp. It resembles viscose, but it is produced with a more environmentally friendly process that requires less energy and fewer harmful chemicals. The process takes place in a closed loop, which means that the chemicals used can be reused again and again.

Lyocell is a strong and durable fibre. When dry, it is the strongest cellulose fibre – even stronger than cotton or linen! Lyocell feels soft and pleasantly cool against the skin. It is absorbent and stays fresh much longer than cotton – so it can be worn several times between washes. This means fewer washes, which saves water and energy. Products made from 100% lyocell do not stretch, so it's good to take this into account when choosing your size. In that case, compare the measurements in the size chart to a non-stretch garment.

ECOVERO

As a new material, we are introducing the luxurious and ecological EcoVero viscose fabric. EcoVero is a soft, beautifully draping wood-based regenerated fibre whose production is more environmentally friendly than that of conventional viscose. The production process uses less water, and all of the chemicals used in the process are reused. The fibre manufacturer Lenzing also promises full traceability of the material's supply chain. Products made from 100% EcoVero do not stretch, so it's good to take this into account when choosing your size. In that case, compare the measurements in the size chart to a non-stretch garment.
